I got to work with lots of fun fabrics for my August quilting bee’s!
Jolene asked for scrappy, happy blocks for her baby quilt in Fresh Modern Bee:
I love that orange solid.
••• Melissa asked for one block with [...] I’ve been MIA a lot lately and it’s mostly due to having a small human by my side all the time and also because of the Doll Quilt Swap over on Flickr. I read about the swap on the Fat Quarterly blog and I couldn’t resist joining. Little did I know that it [...]
I’ve been working on Liam’s upcoming birthday party and wanted him to have a special shirt to wear on his big day. The party is Circus themed (minus the clowns), so I was thinking of doing something along those lines, but then this idea popped into my head. For some reason [...]
I made this Union Jack block during Liam’s first naptime today (that’s 1 hour, 20 minutes on the dot) and I am in love with it!! Lynne posted a great tutorial on her blog and you can check out other Union Jack projects in the Union Jack Flickr Group. We’ll see [...]

Alison asked for Liberated Wedding Ring blocks this month for “Bee Happy”. I’ve never seen this block before and I always love a new challenge. She mailed beautiful fabrics in soft colors to make a quilt for her bed. I think her choices will make for a very soothing night’s sleep.
I put the “Geese in the Forest” Quilt aside for a tiny bit because I had an idea for an i-spy quilt running through my brain. I have tons of novelty squares that I won from a giveaway on Megan’s blog and I am supplementing with some of my own. I will admit, [...] Look what arrived on Friday!
My 80 fat quarters from the Vintage Sheet Swap! They are so bright, cheery and PERFECT! I can’t wait to use them in a project (or 10, or 20!).
Here are a few of my favorites:
It’s time again for the Blogger’s Quilt Festival! I haven’t had much time to make many quilts since the last festival, but I do have a quilt that is near and dear in my heart. When I was pregnant, last summer, I made my son a quilt for his [...]
43 down, 57 to go! I am really loving how this quilt is turning out. This was the first time I laid the blocks out and saw them all together. I am not sure if I’ll keep the Twiddletails “Geese in the Forest” layout, or just do my own. I [...] |
