String Quilt Progress and new fabric!

Half done….and NO baby.  I wonder which will be ready first?

I am loving how the quilt is turning out, but I have to say, when I look at other quilter’s versions, I get serious scrap envy!  I have a bag of scraps left, but now I feel like they have been picked through and I am getting bored with them. As a new quilter, I am seriously scrounging for scraps.  Someday I will have a stash:)

Speaking of stash, I finally broke down and decided to treat my hugely pregnant, overdue self with some new fabric.  I’ve been looking for a bundle and finally found one that I couldn’t resist:

I bought this adorable collection of fat quarters from Spool.

The collection is called “Autumn Already” and most of the fabrics are from Jay McCarroll’s Woodland Wonderland line.  I hadn’t seen his fabric line before and I will definitely be checking back.  I loved him even more when I read that he was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, just like me!

Wood Maze in Orange from “Woodland Wonderland”

Wood Maze in Blue.  I LOVE the little ants!

Cutie Pie Deer in Orange from “Woodland Wonderland”

From Valori Wells’ Del Hi collection:  Tango in Cinnamon.  This is another line to check out. Every single pattern in the collection is yummy!

I am pretty certain that this is Michael Miller’s  Ta Dot in Tangerine

I have no clue where that beautiful shade of blue fabric is from, but I will have to find out.

I also have no idea what exactly I am going to make, but I am excited to think about the possibilities!

I love this quilt! The selection of fabrics is wonderful. There’s so much going on but it’s still well-balanced. I can’t wait to see it finished!

I’ve got scrap envy too :( String quilts are so cool looking, but I haven’t bee quilting long enough to build up a decent stash. Love your quilt so far!
